Pouch is built so that we cannot see your financial data. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Everything you enter in Pouch — pouches, transactions, paychecks, bills, notes — is stored on your device and, if you enable sync or sharing, in your own private iCloud database managed by Apple. We do not operate servers that store, receive, or process your budget data. We cannot read it, and neither can anyone else with access to our systems, because it never touches our systems.
Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through the App Store. Pouch uses Apple's StoreKit directly — there is no third-party purchase or subscription service in the middle. Whether Premium is active is checked on your device against your own App Store transactions; no purchase data, receipt, or identifier is ever sent to us or to anyone else.
If you share a budget with a partner, sharing happens through Apple's iCloud sharing (CloudKit). Your data moves between your iCloud and theirs under your control; we are not in that path. You can stop sharing at any time from Settings.
If you email support@pouchhq.com, we'll have your email address and whatever you choose to tell us — used only to help you, never added to marketing lists.
Pouch is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them (or from anyone, for that matter).
If this policy ever changes in a way that matters, the change will be listed here with a new date, and material changes will be called out in the app's release notes.
